Willie Mays' RBI single with no outs in the 10th capped a Giants rally from a 6-1 deficit to an 8-7 win in a thrilling comeback at Candlestick Park. Orlando Cepeda sparked the rally with 4 straight hits, including a pair of home runs in the 6th and 7th. It was hit number 4 by Cepeda, a one-out double in the 9th that preceded a game-tying home run by Tom Haller to force extra-innings. Harvey Kuenn's lead-off triple in the 10th off Sherman Jones, followed by a walk by Jim Davenport, set up Mays' game-winning hit. Kuenn also had 4 hits, including 3 singles, while Cepeda drove in 4 runs with his 2 homers, a solo and a three-run shot. Vada Pinson paced the Reds with 4 hits, including a 2-run homer.
