HR TRACKER: Floyd Robinson led all sluggers with 2 homers, while KC got their message across with 2 3-run bombs by Nelson Mathews and Wayne Causey to score their 1st victory of the season. The Red Sox slugged 3 in the late innings to stun the Orioles and Fred Newman became the 4th pitcher in the early going to go yard. Jim Kaat, Ralph Terry and Larry Jackson are the others.

Dis-honorable mention: Jim Gentile of the A's, 0-12 with 9 strikeouts, including 8 in a row. Def not the same one who slugged 46 homers for the Orioles in 1961.
