60 Years Later: Drawbosky was the winning pitcher of record...

But Kansas City couldn't hold the lead, as the Tigers scored twice in the 6th off Jim Dickson and cashed in big-time on late insurance policies to defeat the A's, 10-5. Mickey Lolich, save for a disastrous 5th inning, pitched 8+ solid innings to get the win over Dickson, despite card-only starter Moe Drabowsky being in line for the win after 5.

The A's did make a game of it in the 9th, chasing Lolich after a 1st and 3rd start to the inning, getting a run off of Larry Sherry and loading the bases with 2 outs before some "Put it on the board" guy missed a grand slam on the home run check. (20 on the D-20)
